Getting your blood pressure checked is key to taking control of your health, and it only takes 15 minutes.
If you receive an invite to go for a blood pressure check or a request to send in your blood pressure reading from your GP, please do take up the offer. If you are 40 years old or over, there are many ways to get your blood pressure checked. You could ask your local Pharmacy about getting a check, see if your GP has a blood pressure machine in the waiting room, or monitor your blood pressure at home with a home monitor.
High blood pressure can be life-threatening but is easily treatable if you know you have it. The only way to know if you have high blood pressure is to get a check. It could save your life.
