Flu Campaign 2023/24

Village Surgery patients can start booking into our Flu Clinics from September 2023 onwards. As previously advised, we will not be sending out letters to our patients this year, we will be sending a booking link for all patients who have a mobile phone. If patients do not have a mobile phone, we will contact them via telephone and offer an appointment into our clinic.

Patients – Over 65 years old cohort

Saturday 30th September 2023 – Booking from 01/09/2023

Patients – At Risk cohort

Saturday 7th October 2023 – Booking from 08/09/2023

Priority Patients –

The Government has given NHS providers specific instructions that priority should be on the following patient groups; therefore we have followed this instruction as per the Government and NHS England advice.

Child Flu Clinics

Ages 2-3 – Clinics are being scheduled throughout October 2023

***All clinics have been arranged and agreed in line with availability and when we receive vaccinations at Village Surgery***

Once the receptionist has checked your eligibility you will be booked in to the next available appointment slot.

Guidelines for attending the surgery for Flu Campaign 2023/24

  • Patients may be asked to queue / wait outside the building until they are to be seen by a clinician.
  • Please ensure that you have the correct attire for all Weather Conditions (Rain coat / Umbrella / etc)
  • Entry to the clinic will be through the main entrance
  • Exiting the clinic will be through the back fire exit, a staff member will be there to guide patients.
  • Staff will be available during all clinics to offer guidance and support.
  • If you do not have an appointment you will be asked to contact the Surgery the next working day to check eligibility and arrange an appointment.
  • If you arrive late for your appointment you will be asked to contact the Surgery the next working day to rebook your appointment.
  • If you are attending the surgery with family members all patients must be eligible for vaccination and have an appointment booked to be seen.

Additional Information

If you have mobility issues please speak to a member of the team and we can come to you in the car park to administer the flu vaccination.

Please be advised that if we have any availability and vaccinations after the clinics are completed, we will be scheduling patients in to additional dates.

This is dependent on availability of vaccinations.
