Flu Campaign 2022

Village Surgery patients can start booking into our Flu Clinics from August 2022 onwards. As previously advised, we will not be sending out letters to our patients this year, we will be sending a booking link for all patients who have a mobile phone. If patients do not have a mobile phone, we will contact them via telephone and offer an appointment into our clinic.

Clinics

Patients – Over 65 years old cohort

Saturday 1st October 2022 (Currently booking)

Patients – At Risk cohort

To be confirmed – Awaiting confirmation of vaccination delivery.

Child Flu Clinics

Ages 2-3 – Clinics are being scheduled throughout October 2022

Priority Patients –

  • Housebound patientsHousebound patients will be contacted towards the end of September 2022 for scheduling

Guidelines for attending the surgery for Flu Campaign 2021/22

VILLAGE SURGERY CANNOT DEFER FROM ITS PLANNING DUE TO COVID – 19 RESTRICTIONS.

IF YOU HAVE ANY COVID 19 SYMPTOMS PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE SURGERY DURING THIS TIME. PLEASE CONTACT THE SURGERY AND THE RECEPTION TEAM WILL RE-BOOK YOUR APPOINTMENT.

  • Patients may be asked to queue / wait outside the building until they are to be seen by a clinician.
  • Please ensure that you have the correct attire for all Weather Conditions (Rain coat / Umbrella / etc)
  • Face coverings are to be worn when inside the building at all times.
  • Hand sanitiser will be available on entry and exit of the building.
  • All staff will be wearing appropriate PPE depending on their role.
  • Entry to the clinic will be through the main entrance
  • Exiting the clinic will be through the back fire exit, a staff member will be there to guide patients.
  • Staff will be available during all clinics to offer guidance and support.
  • If you do not have an appointment you will be asked to contact the Surgery the next working day to check eligibility and arrange an appointment.
  • If you arrive late for your appointment you will be asked to contact the Surgery the next working day to rebook your appointment.
  • If you are attending the surgery with family members all patients must be eligible for vaccination and have an appointment booked to be seen.

Unable to attend clinic dates.

Please be advised that if we have any availability and vaccinations after the clinics are completed, we will be scheduling patients in to additional dates.

This is dependent on availability of vaccinations.

Car Park Clinics

If you have mobility issues then please be aware that Village Surgery will be able to vaccinate patients in the car park (Previously to other clinics)
