The Government have announced that from 17th December employees can self-certify sickness until 28 days (4 weeks) of absence. This continues until 26th January 2022 when the 7 day self certification period recommences.
This is to try and ease the burden on GP Surgeries as they are asked to prioritise the Covid Vaccination Programme.

Village Surgery will be working under this guidance and therefore if you require a sick/fit note from us we will only issue these for patients over the 28 day requirement.
