Positive Changes to Booking an Appointment at Village Surgery

Dear Patient,

Signpost Navigation is being introduced at Village Surgery from the 1st February 2018. This will ensure that when you contact the surgery to book an appointment you are directed in the correct way by the Reception team.

The Reception team will ask you to give details relating to the reason you require assistance /appointment and any symptoms you may be experiencing. The Reception team are not there to offer you advice or discuss medical issues they are solely assisting in directing you effectively and efficiently.

Due to the increase in patients, we are required to gather information regarding your health so that appointments can be utilised as best appropriate.

The reception team have received in-house training and direction from the GP Partners to ensure they uphold an excellent standard of patient care.

The reception team will be able to direct you to the correct Medical Professional – General practitioner, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Nurse, Health Care Assistant, Pharmacy or other NHS facilities if they deem appropriate.

Thank you for your co-operation

Yours sincerely

The GP Partners
